Employee service awards software tracks work anniversaries, triggers recognition on the right date, and delivers the award. The best fit depends on your team.
Awardco, Workhuman, and O.C. Tanner suit global enterprises, and Terryberry suits physical keepsakes. BRAVO, Bonusly, and Applauz suit smaller teams that want published pricing.
Pricing finding: In my October 2026 review, only three of the nine vendors published a price. BRAVO, Bonusly, and Applauz did. The other six send pricing questions to sales.
Disclosure: BRAVO, an AI-powered employee recognition and engagement platform by WorkHub, is one of the nine. BRAVO Points carries the reward, BRAVO Voice runs reward surveys, BRAVO Feats runs team challenges, and BRAVO Focus tracks goals.
I reviewed nine employee service awards software platforms in October 2026. I used each vendor’s public product page, pricing page, and G2 or Capterra listing. I did not run hands-on tests of the eight competitors.
Best employee service awards software at a glance
The best employee service awards software depends on award style and team size. Digital and points-based tools suit smaller teams. Custom physical awards suit enterprises that run ceremonies.
Read the table in two steps. First, match the award style to your program: points and messages, catalog gifts, vouchers, or custom physical pieces. Then match team size and pricing visibility to how you buy software.
| Platform | Best for | Award style | Published price |
|---|---|---|---|
| BRAVO | Small and mid-size teams on Slack or Teams | Points and AI-written messages | Yes, on its pricing page |
| Awardco | Mid-size and enterprise teams | Points, catalog gifts, MemoryBooks | No |
| Workhuman | Global enterprises | Peer-written milestones, marketplace | No |
| O.C. Tanner | Enterprises that want physical awards | Custom pins, printed Yearbook | No |
| Achievers | Enterprises comparing recognition suites | Signed cards, rewards catalog | No |
| Terryberry | Teams that want physical keepsakes | Custom pins, rings, presentation kits | No |
| Kudos | Mid-market values-based programs | eCards, points | No |
| Applauz | Formal gift-voucher programs | Single-use gift vouchers | Yes |
| Bonusly | Small teams with peer recognition | Points, automated anniversaries | Yes |
Quick picks by buyer type:
- Small teams on Slack or Teams: BRAVO or Bonusly
- Custom physical awards: O.C. Tanner or Terryberry
- A formal voucher program: Applauz
- Global enterprises: Workhuman or Awardco
- Buyers who want a full suite: Achievers or Kudos
Most vendors in this list sell service awards as part of a wider recognition platform. Awardco, Workhuman, and Applauz also sell service awards on their own. A standalone option matters if you don’t want to buy a full recognition platform.
Pricing visibility is a buying signal, because a published price lets you budget before a demo. Review volume also varies widely, from 190+ G2 reviews for Terryberry to 9,500+ for Achievers.
What is employee service awards software?
Employee service awards software is a platform that tracks tenure, triggers recognition on each anniversary, and delivers the award. It connects hire dates to eligibility rules, reminders, messages, rewards, and reports.

The software does three jobs:
- Tracking: It reads hire dates and applies your tier rules.
- Delivery: It prompts managers and peers, then sends the award.
- Reporting: It shows which milestones were recognized on time.
A typical rule fires at one, three, five, and ten years, with a lighter note in the years between.
A service award honors time at the company, while a spot award rewards a single result. Vendors also call the feature milestones, anniversaries, or long service awards, so search by each term.
General recognition software centers on peer praise and values-based awards. Service awards software centers on dates, tiers, and eligibility. Many platforms do both, so check which job a vendor does well.
A reward marketplace or an awards manufacturer can ship a gift. Neither one necessarily knows when an employee reaches year five. Software that tracks the date is what stops a milestone from slipping past.
Manual tracking breaks when HR changes hands or when hire dates sit in three spreadsheets.
What to look for in employee service awards software
Choose employee service awards software on six criteria: hire-date sync, milestone rules, award type, in-chat delivery, tax handling, and reporting. Each criterion below names what to check and which vendors in this review show the detail publicly.
HRIS sync and tenure tracking
Good service awards software reads hire dates from your HRIS or a CSV file and refreshes them on a schedule. Workhuman Service Milestones reads from your existing HRIS. BRAVO imports dates from your HRIS and calendar.
Applauz accepts a CSV with name, email, and hire date. It sells HRIS sync as an add-on.
Bad dates mean missed or wrong awards. Ask how often each vendor refreshes employee data, so new hires and leavers don’t trigger the wrong award.
Milestone tiers and eligibility rules
The software should let you set formal awards at chosen years and lighter recognition in between. Applauz lets you choose celebration years from 1 to 50 and set a budget for each year. Terryberry sets tiered awards by years of service.
Check that rules can differ by location and employee type. A part-time rule that the tool can’t express becomes a spreadsheet again.
Also ask whether the tool supports a six-month mark or a lighter yearly note between formal awards.
Award type and fulfillment
Award type decides which vendor fits: digital points, catalog gifts, vouchers, or custom physical pieces. Applauz delivers catalog gifts, and Awardco can attach physical or curated awards.
Terryberry and O.C. Tanner manufacture physical awards. Ask who ships, how long delivery takes, and what happens with returns.
Digital points let employees choose, while physical pieces give a lasting keepsake. Vouchers, such as Applauz’s, fix a value for each year. Ask every maker about warranty and exchange terms, since replacements add cost.
Slack and Microsoft Teams delivery
Recognition delivered in Slack or Microsoft Teams reaches employees where they already work. BRAVO delivers milestone recognition in Slack, Teams, and Outlook, and its integrations page shows the full list.
Applauz includes Slack and Teams from its Recognition Essentials package and above.
Bonusly also works natively in Slack and Microsoft Teams. Confirm that peers can add a message without leaving the chat tool.
A congratulation that needs a second login rarely gets written.
Tax handling for U.S. programs
Service awards can count as taxable pay, and the rules depend on award type and tenure. Gift cards and cash equivalents are treated differently from tangible items, so award type changes the tax answer.
Awardco tells buyers that tax and payroll treatment varies by program and location. Ask every vendor, in writing, how it supports the IRS length-of-service rules.
BRAVO’s guide to employee service awards covers the tax limits, budget math, and program design in detail.
Reporting and budget control
Reporting should show milestones recognized on time, awards redeemed, and spend by tier. Without that data, a service awards program becomes a budget line you can’t audit.
A useful report answers one question: who reached a milestone, and did anyone mark it on time? Ask each vendor to show that report before you sign.
Ask whether finance can export spend by location and by milestone year.
How I reviewed these platforms
I reviewed each platform in October 2026 using public sources only. For every vendor, I read the service awards page, the pricing page, and the G2 or Capterra listing.
I scored each platform on six criteria: hire-date sync, milestone rules, award type, in-chat delivery, tax handling, and reporting. I also recorded whether the vendor publishes a price.
Limits of this review:
- I did not test competitor products hands-on.
- I did not request quotes from vendors.
- Public pages can change without notice.
Prices and review counts change, so each figure carries an “as of October 2026” date. G2 and Capterra counts move daily, so treat them as a snapshot.
BRAVO publishes this page and competes with the other eight vendors. I included BRAVO’s limits in the same format as every other card. The numbers show list order, not a quality score.
The 9 best employee service awards software platforms
The nine platforms below cover enterprise suites, physical-award makers, voucher programs, and tools for smaller teams. Each card uses the same fields in the same order.
1. BRAVO
- Best for: Small and mid-size teams that work in Slack or Microsoft Teams.
- Pricing: Published on the BRAVO pricing page, as of October 2026.
- What I like: HRIS date sync, AI-written messages, a monthly milestone calendar.
BRAVO automates work anniversaries, birthdays, promotions, onboarding, retirements, and custom milestones. It imports dates from your HRIS and calendar. The milestone feature then writes a personalized message for each date.

Managers can add BRAVO Points, a note, or a GIF before delivery. They can schedule recognition weeks ahead from the milestone calendar. Recognition lands in Slack, Microsoft Teams, and Outlook.
I’d pick BRAVO when service milestones should sit beside everyday peer recognition. The public employee milestones page describes points and messages. It doesn’t mention custom manufactured awards.
BRAVO pros and cons
BRAVO fits teams that want automated milestones and everyday recognition in one tool. It’s a weaker fit if you need custom pins, plaques, or printed yearbooks.
Where BRAVO shines:
- HRIS date sync: BRAVO imports hire dates from your HRIS and calendar.
- In-flow delivery: Recognition arrives in Slack, Microsoft Teams, and Outlook.
- Planning ahead: Managers can schedule recognition weeks early from the milestone calendar.
What could be improved:
- Physical awards: The milestone page doesn’t describe custom pins, plaques, or yearbooks.
- Tax tracking: BRAVO’s own guide tells buyers to ask every vendor about the IRS five-year rule.
- Review base: BRAVO has 80 G2 reviews, far fewer than Awardco or Bonusly.
BRAVO pricing
- Current plans: See the BRAVO pricing page for plan names and prices.
BRAVO ratings and reviews
- G2: 80 reviews, BRAVO on G2
- Capterra: 4.8/5 (59 reviews), BRAVO on Capterra
Reviewers mostly praise quick, public peer recognition. The pool is small, so treat the averages with care.
2. Awardco
- Best for: Mid-size and enterprise teams that want service awards plus broad reward choice.
- Pricing: Custom quote. The plans page lists no prices, as of October 2026.
- What I like: Service Awards Only plan, MemoryBooks, Amazon Business redemption.
Awardco automates service anniversaries, sends manager reminders, compiles peer messages, and delivers awards. Employees redeem points across a large reward network that includes Amazon Business. Awardco describes this as redemption with zero markups.
Awardco takes dates from an HRIS, file feed, or API. MemoryBooks collect notes and photos from teammates into a digital or printed celebration.
Awardco says tax and payroll treatment varies by program and location. Awardco tells buyers to validate those details before promising an award.
Awardco sells a Service Awards Only plan. According to Awardco’s plans page, it covers service award programs and leaves out the bulk recognition tool. Compare it with BRAVO on the BRAVO vs Awardco page.
Awardco pros and cons
Awardco fits teams that want a dedicated service awards plan inside a large rewards platform. It’s a harder fit when you need a price before you talk to sales.
Where Awardco shines:
- Reward choice: Employees redeem points from a large network that includes Amazon Business.
- Dedicated plan: A Service Awards Only plan exists for teams that want nothing else.
- Rating: Awardco’s 4.9 G2 rating is the highest on this list.
What could be improved:
- Pricing opacity: The plans page lists no prices.
- Tax cost: One Capterra reviewer noted that redeemed points were taxed.
- Review focus: Most Capterra reviews I read describe point redemption, not service award setup.
Awardco pricing
- Service Awards Only: Service award programs only. Quote required.
- Enterprise: Every program type on the platform. Quote required.
Awardco ratings and reviews
- G2: 4.9/5 (6,300+ reviews), Awardco on G2
- Capterra: 4.9/5 (4,800+ reviews), Awardco on Capterra
Reviewers praise ease of use and reward choice. One describes occasional delays in reward delivery.
3. Workhuman
- Best for: Global enterprises that want story-led, peer-written service milestones.
- Pricing: Custom quote. Four packages exist, with no prices published, as of October 2026.
- What I like: HRIS-driven awards, peer contributions, a standalone option.
Workhuman Service Milestones reads employee dates from your existing HRIS and generates awards for upcoming anniversaries. It invites each employee’s network to add congratulations. It also reminds colleagues who haven’t written a message yet.
Workhuman now sells Service Milestones on its own, for companies that don’t use its recognition product. A global marketplace delivers the rewards. Workhuman says its distribution spans 180+ countries.
Compare Workhuman with BRAVO on the BRAVO vs Workhuman page. I’d shortlist Workhuman when the goal is a memorable story, not a quick gift.
Workhuman pros and cons
Workhuman works best for global enterprises that want colleagues to write the award. It’s a poor match when your team won’t write messages or you need a published price.
Where Workhuman shines:
- Peer-written stories: The tool invites each employee’s network to add messages.
- Reminders: Colleagues who haven’t written a message get a nudge before delivery.
- Standalone option: You can buy Service Milestones without its recognition product.
What could be improved:
- Pricing opacity: Four packages exist, and none shows a price.
- Participation risk: The experience weakens when colleagues don’t write messages.
- Chat delivery: I found no Slack or Teams details on the Service Milestones page.
Workhuman pricing
- Packages: Four, including one that runs inside the Workhuman platform.
- Price: Talk to sales.
Workhuman ratings and reviews
- Capterra: 4.8/5 (2,100+ reviews), Workhuman on Capterra
The rating covers Workhuman’s wider recognition platform, so it says little about Service Milestones alone.
4. O.C. Tanner
- Best for: Enterprises that want custom physical awards and printed yearbooks.
- Pricing: Custom quote. I found no published price, as of October 2026.
- What I like: Printed Yearbook, custom pins, five-year award warranty.
Culture Cloud Anniversaries by O.C. Tanner combines service awards, a printed Yearbook, and custom pins. The Yearbook also exists in digital form and holds peer and leader messages.
Employees can pick gifts from an award store. Custom awards include numerals and symbolic pieces designed and crafted by the company. The service awards page lists a five-year warranty and a 90-day exchange policy.
Pick this vendor when the keepsake is the point of the program. The service awards page shows the full set of options.
O.C. Tanner pros and cons
O.C. Tanner suits large organizations that run formal ceremonies. It’s a poor match for small teams or buyers who want a published price.
Where O.C. Tanner shines:
- Physical craft: Custom pins, numerals, and symbolic awards are designed and crafted by the vendor.
- Yearbook: A printed and digital book collects peer and leader messages.
- Warranty: Awards carry a five-year warranty and a 90-day exchange policy.
What could be improved:
- Pricing opacity: I found no published price.
- Lead time: Custom design and manufacturing add steps that digital-only tools skip.
- Small-team fit: G2 describes Culture Cloud as built for enterprise and global workforces.
O.C. Tanner pricing
- Culture Cloud: Custom quote. I found no public price.
O.C. Tanner ratings and reviews
- G2: 4.8/5 (1,800+ reviews), Culture Cloud on G2
G2 lists Culture Cloud as an enterprise recognition platform with a large, highly rated review base.
5. Achievers
- Best for: Enterprises already comparing a full recognition suite.
- Pricing: Custom quote, as of October 2026.
- What I like: Automated reminders, signable cards with GIFs and images.
Achievers Celebrate automates years-of-service awards. Automated reminders prompt colleagues to sign a card with custom messages, GIFs, or images. The same product covers onboarding, promotions, and birthdays.
Achievers sells Celebrate as one product inside its wider platform. Reward catalogs, nominations, and everyday recognition sit alongside it.
I’d look at Achievers when you want service awards and a full suite from one vendor.
Achievers pros and cons
Achievers suits enterprises that want service awards inside a full recognition suite. It’s a poor match when you want a published price or custom manufactured awards.
Where Achievers shines:
- Card signing: Colleagues receive reminders to sign a card with messages, GIFs, or images.
- Automation: Achievers says Celebrate automates the entire service awards experience.
- Review base: Achievers has 9,500+ G2 reviews, the largest base on this list.
What could be improved:
- Pricing opacity: Pricing goes through a demo request.
- Award style: The Celebrate page describes cards and messages, not custom manufactured awards.
- Rating: Achievers’ 4.6 G2 rating trails Awardco’s 4.9 and Kudos’s 4.8.
Achievers pricing
- Celebrate: Custom quote. I found no public price.
Achievers ratings and reviews
- G2: 4.6/5 (9,500+ reviews), Achievers on G2
The large review count makes the 4.6 average a steadier signal than the ratings of smaller vendors.
6. Terryberry
- Best for: Organizations that want physical service awards plus software tracking.
- Pricing: Custom quote, as of October 2026.
- What I like: In-house factory, tiered awards by years, a rewards catalog.
Terryberry designs and makes service awards in its own factory, including pins, rings, and presentation kits. Its platform tracks milestones automatically. You can set tiered awards by years of service.
The platform also covers manager awards, peer nominations, birthdays, and wellness programs. Service awards are one part of a bigger system.
Terryberry makes sense when a physical award must arrive at each milestone year and software must track the dates. The Terryberry long service awards shows the options.
Terryberry pros and cons
Terryberry fits teams that want a tangible award tied to automated tracking. Digital-only teams will find less to use.
Where Terryberry shines:
- Physical depth: Pins, rings, and presentation kits are made in its own factory.
- Tiered automation: Awards can follow years of service automatically.
- One vendor: Service awards, nominations, and peer recognition run in one platform.
What could be improved:
- Pricing opacity: I found no published price.
- Digital-first fit: The core strength is physical awards, so digital-only teams may pay for unused capability.
- Review base: Terryberry has 190+ G2 reviews, a small base next to the enterprise suites.
Terryberry pricing
- Platform and awards: Custom quote. I found no public price.
Terryberry ratings and reviews
- G2: 4.6/5 (190+ reviews), Terryberry on G2
G2 reviewers mention easy setup and gift choice. A few mention limits in points and reporting.
7. Kudos
- Best for: Mid-market teams that want values-based recognition plus automated milestones.
- Pricing: Quote on request, as of October 2026.
- What I like: Group eCards, nominations and awards, optional points.
Kudos automates milestone celebrations for work anniversaries, birthdays, and onboarding completion. Group eCards let a whole team sign one card. Employees can earn points toward rewards, and the points are optional.
Kudos lists years-of-service and milestones as one feature of its recognition platform. It pairs them with values-based awards and nominations.
Kudos fits when your culture runs on company values and you want milestones to match. The Kudos awards describes the service award automation.
Kudos pros and cons
Kudos fits mid-market teams that want milestones inside a values-based program. It’s a poor match if you need a dedicated service awards product.
Where Kudos shines:
- Group eCards: A whole team can sign one card for an anniversary.
- Values-based awards: Nominations and awards sit next to milestones.
- Optional rewards: Points are optional, so you can run milestones with or without rewards.
What could be improved:
- Pricing opacity: Pricing is quote-based.
- No standalone product: Milestones are one feature of the platform.
- Physical awards: I found no custom physical-award offering on its service awards pages.
Kudos pricing
- Platform: Quote on request. I found no public price.
Kudos ratings and reviews
- G2: 4.8/5 (3,000+ reviews), Kudos on G2
Kudos has the second-highest G2 rating on this list, tied with O.C. Tanner.
8. Applauz
- Best for: Teams that want a formal gift-voucher service awards program with published pricing.
- Pricing: $12.00 per celebration, or $3.75 per license per month billed annually, as of October 2026.
- What I like: Per-celebration pricing, anniversaries from 1 to 50 years, 30,000+ gifts.
Applauz Service Awards sends each employee a single-use gift voucher on their anniversary. Employees redeem it in a marketplace of 30,000+ items. Employees can log in without a company email address, so deskless staff can take part.
You pick the years to celebrate, from 1 to 50, and set a budget for each. Applauz can buy and assign vouchers automatically each month. In my review, Applauz was the only vendor that published a per-celebration price.
I’d shortlist Applauz when you want a defined gift at each milestone and a price you can budget. The Applauz pricing page lists every package.
Applauz pros and cons
Applauz fits teams that want a simple voucher program with a clear price. It fits poorly when you want service awards and Slack delivery in one package.
Where Applauz shines:
- Transparent pricing: Packages show exact figures, up to 1,000 employees.
- Voucher model: You choose celebration years and set a budget for each.
- Deskless access: Employees can log in by email or phone number.
What could be improved:
- Fees on top: A one-time onboarding fee and admin fees on service award spend apply.
- HRIS sync: HRIS integration is an add-on to any package.
- Chat delivery: Slack and Teams come with Recognition Essentials and above, not the Service Awards package.
Applauz pricing
- Service Awards: $12.00 per celebration.
- Recognition Essentials: $3.75 per license per month, billed annually.
- Culture Intelligence: $5.50 per license per month, billed annually.
- Above 1,000 employees: Custom pricing.
- Extra fees: A one-time onboarding and training fee, plus admin and platform fees on service award spend.
Applauz ratings and reviews
- Capterra: 4.7/5 (118 reviews), Applauz on Capterra
The review base is modest. Applauz lists SOC 2 Type II certification on its pricing page.
9. Bonusly
- Best for: Small teams that want peer recognition with automated anniversaries.
- Pricing: Free up to 8 users. Team starts at $3 per user per month, as of October 2026.
- What I like: A free plan, published prices, automated milestone celebrations.
Bonusly is a peer-to-peer recognition tool that also automates work anniversaries and birthdays. I found no tiered years-of-service program on its public pages. Treat it as milestone automation, not a formal service awards system.
Bonusly’s help center lists automated milestone celebrations, HRIS integrations, and CSV upload on the Team plan. Rewards are billed separately once you enable them.
I’d pick Bonusly when peer recognition is the main goal and anniversaries are a bonus. The Bonusly plans help article lists each plan.
Bonusly pros and cons
Bonusly fits small teams that want low-cost recognition with automatic anniversaries. It fits poorly when you need tiered awards at 5, 10, and 20 years.
Where Bonusly shines:
- Free plan: Up to 8 users can start at no cost.
- Published prices: Free and Team prices are public, with custom pricing for Organization.
- Review base: Bonusly has 6,300+ G2 reviews at 4.7/5.
What could be improved:
- Service award depth: I found no tiered years-of-service program.
- Rewards billing: Rewards are billed separately once enabled.
- Free-plan limits: The free plan stops at 8 users and lacks milestone automation and HRIS sync.
Bonusly pricing
- Free: Up to 8 users, with no HRIS integrations.
- Team without Bizy AI: $3 per user per month billed monthly, or $30 per user per year.
- Team + Bizy AI: $5 per user per month billed monthly, or $50 per user per year.
- Organization: Custom pricing.
Bonusly ratings and reviews
- G2: 4.7/5 (6,300+ reviews), Bonusly on G2
- Capterra: 4.8/5 (1,600+ reviews), Bonusly on Capterra
Both review bases are large, which makes the averages reliable for small-team use.
Employee service awards software pricing compared
Employee service awards software pricing is mostly custom. In my October 2026 review, only BRAVO, Bonusly, and Applauz published a price. The table shows what each vendor lists and what to ask.
BRAVO lists its plans on the BRAVO pricing page.
| Vendor | Published price (October 2026) | Model | Ask about |
|---|---|---|---|
| BRAVO | Yes, on its pricing page | Per user | Per-user terms for your headcount |
| Awardco | None found | Quote | Service Awards Only vs full plan |
| Workhuman | None found | Quote | Which of the four packages |
| O.C. Tanner | None found | Quote | Custom award design costs |
| Achievers | None found | Quote | Celebrate vs full suite |
| Terryberry | None found | Quote | Award and shipping costs |
| Kudos | None found | Quote | Reward budget funding |
| Applauz | $12.00 per celebration; $3.75 per license per month billed annually | Per celebration or per license | Onboarding and admin fees |
| Bonusly | Free up to 8 users; Team from $3 per user per month | Per user | Rewards billed separately |
Published prices let you do the math before a sales call. At 100 employees, using only the published software prices, the annual cost looks like this. My arithmetic excludes rewards, onboarding, and fees.
| Plan | Annual software cost at 100 employees |
|---|---|
| Bonusly Team without Bizy AI, billed annually | $3,000 |
| Bonusly Team without Bizy AI, billed monthly | $3,600 |
| Bonusly Team + Bizy AI, billed annually | $5,000 |
| Applauz Recognition Essentials | $4,500 |
| Applauz Service Awards | $12.00 per celebration |
A sticker price rarely covers the full cost of a service awards program. Applauz shows why. Its pricing page lists a one-time onboarding fee, fees on service award spend, and HRIS sync as an add-on.
Put these lines in every quote request:
- The platform or per-user fee
- Any one-time onboarding or setup fee
- Fees on award spend, such as administration or shipping
- HRIS integration, if sold as an add-on
- The rewards budget, if billed separately
- Discounts for a two- or three-year term
Total cost depends on headcount and how many employees reach a milestone each year. Export hire dates from your HRIS and count the milestones for the next 12 months. Then ask each vendor to quote against that number.
Which employee service awards software should you choose?
The right employee service awards software depends on award style, team size, and how much you want to run yourself. The grid below places each vendor by its public positioning.

If you run a global enterprise: Workhuman or Awardco
Workhuman says its distribution spans 180+ countries and builds milestones around peer-written stories. Awardco offers a Service Awards Only plan and a large reward network. Pick Workhuman for story-led celebrations and Awardco for reward choice.
If you want custom physical awards: O.C. Tanner or Terryberry
Terryberry makes pins, rings, and kits in its own factory, and O.C. Tanner pairs a printed Yearbook with pins. Choose either when the keepsake is the point.
If you run a small or mid-size team on Slack or Teams: BRAVO or Bonusly
BRAVO imports hire dates and delivers milestone recognition in Slack, Teams, and Outlook. Bonusly offers a free plan for up to 8 users and a Team plan from $3 per user per month.
Choose BRAVO when you also want BRAVO Voice surveys and BRAVO Focus goals. Choose Bonusly when peer recognition with automatic anniversaries is enough.
To see milestones run from your HRIS without spreadsheets, book a free BRAVO demo and bring a hire-date export.
If you want a formal voucher program with a clear price: Applauz
Applauz charges $12.00 per celebration and lets you set the years and the budget for each. Onboarding and administration fees apply on top. Pick it when you want a defined gift at each milestone.
If you already run a recognition suite: Achievers or Kudos
Achievers Celebrate and Kudos both add automated milestones to a wider recognition platform. Pick the vendor whose suite already matches your peer recognition needs, and compare quotes against the same hire-date export.
For a wider shortlist, see BRAVO’s list of the best employee recognition software.
Frequently Asked Questions
BRAVO, Bonusly, and Applauz suit small teams because each publishes pricing. BRAVO delivers milestone recognition in Slack, Microsoft Teams, and Outlook, and Bonusly works natively in both Slack and Teams. Applauz adds Slack and Teams from its Recognition Essentials package and above.
Ask five questions about any vendor. How does it get hire dates, handle IRS length-of-service rules, ship awards, charge fees, and report to finance? Get each answer in writing, then compare vendors that publish pricing, such as Applauz and Bonusly, against those that quote.
In my review, most vendors didn’t say publicly how they track the IRS five-year rule. Awardco tells buyers that tax and payroll treatment varies by program and location. Ask any vendor to explain its method in writing, and confirm the rule with a tax advisor.
Most vendors quote custom pricing. Applauz charges $12.00 per celebration or $3.75 per license per month billed annually, plus onboarding and admin fees. Bonusly’s Team plan starts at $3 per user per month billed monthly, and BRAVO lists plans on its pricing page.
Yes, Terryberry and O.C. Tanner make custom physical service awards, including pins, numerals, presentation kits, and printed yearbooks for employees. Awardco can attach physical awards, while Applauz and Kudos deliver gifts or vouchers, so ask about lead times and returns.
No, not for every tool. Applauz accepts a CSV file with name, email, and hire date, and sells HRIS sync as an add-on. Workhuman Service Milestones and BRAVO read dates from your HRIS, so confirm how each handles joiners and leavers.
